About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to join a high-volume hospitality team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with a strong luxury or full-service hotel background who thrives in fast-paced banquet and catering operations. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing both on-site and off-site events while delivering exceptional guest experiences and leading large banquet teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all banquet operations, ensuring flawless execution of events from setup through breakdown.
  • Manage multiple events simultaneously, including weddings, galas, corporate meetings, conventions, and social functions.
  • Coordinate closely with Catering Sales, Event Managers, Culinary, Stewarding, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Lead, coach, schedule, and develop banquet captains, servers, bartenders, and support staff.
  • Maintain exceptional service standards while ensuring guest satisfaction at every event.
  • Oversee off-site catering events, including logistics, staffing, transportation, and execution.
  • Manage labor costs, scheduling, payroll, inventory, and banquet operating expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations.
  • Monitor banquet equipment, room setups, and service standards to maintain brand excellence.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3 years of Banquet Management experience in a full-service hotel.
  • Experience managing both on-site and off-site catering/events.
  • Proven experience overseeing banquet and catering operations generating $5 million in annual banquet revenue.
  • Experience executing events with 1,000 guests.
  • Strong leadership experience managing large banquet service teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.

Preferred

  • Luxury hotel or resort experience.
  • Experience with convention hotels or conference centers.
  • Knowledge of banquet management systems and POS software.
  • Food Handler and Alcohol Service certifications (or ability to obtain).
